We have been focusing on the lupine plant as a raw material for a while, but the lupine is also interesting in a societal perspective. It is an endless source of lively conversations, most people seem to have a love or hate relationship with it. The Icelandic sheep has also recently become controversial. It has been farmed here for ages for woollens and subsistence, but recently a group of people consider it to be a cause of soil erosion in Iceland. We find it interesting to look at those two species in Icelandic landscape and combine them in a work of fine art.
